| As a senior, Christensen threw for 2,950 yards passing and 36 touchdowns and was named the Champaign News-Gazette Player of the Year. Christensen is a three-year varsity letter winner in 2004. He threw for 2500 yds and 33 TDs in eight games as a sophomore. In 2003, Christensen threw for 3800 yds and 33 TDs. Led team to a state championship as a JR. Father, Jeff Christensen, played QB for the Cincinnati Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles and the Cleveland Browns.
Christensen carries a 3.0 GPA and bench presses 260, squats 405 and has a vertical jump of 33-inches.
Scouting Report: Christensen isn't as tall as college recruiters would like him to be but Jake has a D-1 arm and a D-1 head. His footwork is excellent, he goes through his reads and progressions like a college quarterback. Christensen shows the ability to move around in the pocket, feels the rush extremely well and can tuck the ball and run with it if need be. Jake can make all the throws on the field and he throws with touch as well.
Christensen: "I make smart decisions and can think well on the run. I have good feet and can throw on the run. I also throw a good deep ball. I want to improve my overall understanding and reading of defenses. I threw five picks, but I'd like to throw even less. I also want to run a faster forty."
